Size & Site Measurement
We prefer to measure the opening on site in Dehradun where practical. Customer-provided dimensions can also be used, but the final design depends on the actual opening, support condition and floor level.
Spacing & Intended Use
For walkable areas we usually keep spacing tighter. For drainage or ventilation-only openings, wider spacing may be suitable. The design is matched to how the grating will actually be used.
Frame & Construction
Frame and internal members are selected according to the size and use. Angle, pipe, heavy pipe or solid bar can be used depending on the design; extra-heavy construction is available when needed.

There is no fixed public price. The quote depends on size, stainless grade, design, spacing, section choice, total material, finish and installation requirements.
SS 304 is preferred for wet, outdoor, rain, drainage and pool-side areas. SS 202 can be offered for indoor, lower-water or budget applications. Every grating is made to order.
Finish options
We offer two practical stainless-steel finish families: matte / brush-line / hairline and gloss / mirror. Matte or hairline finishing is produced with burnishing wheels, while gloss or mirror work is finished by buffing. A CNC-cut sheet or decorative design can also be discussed as a custom option where suitable.
Installation options
For a normal permanent installation, the opening is prepared by the mason, the grating or frame is placed in position, and the surrounding floor is grouted and finished with tile, marble or stone. If you prefer mechanical fixing without grouting, we can prepare the grating for fastener fixing; this requires additional site labour.
Lead time and payment
SS floor grating is made to order. Typical fabrication time is about 7–10 days, depending on size, design and workshop workload. Payment is normally 50% advance, with the balance when the product is ready or before final delivery / handover. Transport or freight is extra where applicable. Made-to-order cancellation terms apply once material is cut or fabrication starts.

Inside our workshop: how an SS floor grating is finished
Weld cleaning — TIG welding leaves a coloured heat tint on stainless steel joints. We clean it with an electrochemical weld cleaning machine: a brush wand with electrolyte and low-voltage current removes the discolouration without grinding away metal, which helps the stainless steel surface recover its corrosion resistance.
Burnishing — a burnishing (satin finishing) machine runs along the bars in one direction to give an even satin / hairline finish that hides everyday scratches better than a mirror finish.
Finish check — each grating is checked for finish and sharp edges before it leaves the workshop.
Installed — the grating sits flush with the floor and is made for walking, while air and light still pass through.
How we fabricate stainless steel grating
For our stainless-steel fabrication, we primarily use TIG / argon welding for clean, controlled joints. The process includes accurate cutting and fit-up, TIG welding with suitable filler wire where required, multi-stage grinding, then either burnishing for a matte / hairline finish or buffing for a gloss / mirror finish. Quality is checked during cutting, fit-up, welding, grinding and finishing, with sharp edges smoothed before final handover.

Can we walk on an SS floor grating?
Yes, when it is designed for walking. We use tighter spacing and suitable supports for walkable areas, and match the construction to the intended use. We do not publish a single load figure for every custom grating.

Do you make custom size and design gratings?
Yes. Size, spacing, frame, section and finish are made to suit the opening and use. In Dehradun we prefer to take site measurements ourselves where practical; outside Dehradun work is considered on request based on size, transport and feasibility.
Care & maintenance
Clean the grating with normal water, mild soap or shampoo and a clean cloth. Avoid acids and harsh chemicals. Regular wiping helps maintain the finish, and drying the surface after cleaning is useful where practical.
